E35-VIOLENCE

In this world, we often convince ourselves that even the wrong actions are justified if they are done to protect ourselves. Many acts of violence are defended on this basis.

Every form of violence committed by a human being is a sign of deep inner unconsciousness. A truly awakened person cannot be violent because they have already observed every violent movement within themselves.

They have seen their anger, their desire for revenge, and all the mental images that push them toward harming another person.

How can someone who is fully awake act violently?

Sometimes we justify our own violence while condemning the violence of others. We blame society, people, or circumstances for the anger and negativity that arise within us. This is the inner conflict that continues every day.

Violence

But can we observe these mental processes without judgment? Can we see the mind that, for a few moments, makes us almost unconscious with anger? Can we notice the images that drive us toward harmful actions? Can we observe the desire for revenge that quietly burns within us each day?

When we honestly observe ourselves with complete attention, we begin to see the violent part of the mind that usually remains hidden in darkness.

In the purity of such observation, violence cannot arise. To look at ourselves honestly is the only true solution to the problems of daily life. From this sincere observation, a deep meditation begins.
