E38-Courage
In the outer world, every activity of the mind comes to an end. Every thought, every belief, every experience, every emotion, and every kind of desire has an ending.
But in the inner world, there is no such end. You can go into immeasurable depths within yourself. On the way into those depths, you will have to leave behind your beliefs, experiences, language, and desires.

When you discover such depths within yourself that exist in this world and yet are untouched by the world of thoughts and emotions, where every moment is pure and sacred, then the distinction between the outer world and the inner world disappears. Then everything becomes one.
This entire world appears as the presence of that one Supreme Truth. In every moment, only Its infinite peace is felt. This Truth does not depend on anything. Our existence or non-existence makes no difference to It. It was here before us, and it will remain here even after we are gone.
People in the world long to know this Truth, yet they rely on countless things in their search for It. But to know that which we ourselves are, we need no support, no accumulated knowledge, and no borrowed understanding. We are enough by ourselves to explore our own minds, and in this journey lies the greatest joy.
Anyone who is inwardly honest can easily discover this Truth. But a person who is inwardly corrupt will certainly lose themselves somewhere along the way.
The need to know this Truth arises when your own mind begins to drag you toward the worst kind of life—when it starts making you weak, when the world begins to frighten you, and when you feel that there is no one left. It is in such moments of inner emergency that looking into yourself becomes absolutely essential. Only a truly courageous person can do this.
